#Introducing Alda, a new programming based music interface
Ever dreamed of creating music just by coding?
Well, Dave Yarwood has made it possible for all us with his new programming language "Alda". It provides you an interface/editor to write your codes and turn them into music.
According to him, "Alda's ambition is to be a powerful and flexible music programming language that can be used to create music in a variety of genres by typing some code into a text editor and running a program that compiles the code and turns it into sound."
Well, if you are one of those scientific musicians out there then I bet you would love to try this out.
With a little or even no programming language you can easily use "Alda". At the timing of writing in "Alda" you can create MIDI scores from any MIDI instrument set available. The Creator is also hopeful that in near future the platform will improve itself by increasing it's scope to sounds created from basic waveforms or samples loaded from sound files and many others. This approach will surely take the sound programming to a whole new level where it belongs.
